Junior Kelly | Patronaat Haarlem

Het is alweer 25 jaar geleden dat de Jamaicaanse reggaezanger Junior Kelly doorbrak met ‘Love So Nice’, gebaseerd op ‘Stir It Up’ van Bob Marley. Op donderdag 26 februari staat hij in Patronaat met zijn high-energy mix van drum-’n-bass en reggae.

Kelly is een echte allrounder: hij zingt sensuele loveballads maar weet het publiek ook te bereiken met raps over sociale misstanden. En hij heeft Jah aan zijn zijde: in 2001 ontsnapte Kelly aan de dood toen hij bij een zwaar auto-ongeluk betrokken was.
